          Lent resources are now in house.

General Convention of the Episcopal Church,

meeting in July 2009,  invited congregations

"to focus the season of Lent 2010 as a time of penitential reflection on the brokenness of the global economic order and its reformation in light of the Gospel." (D018)

We found that elegantly challenging and came up with a way to include both the Gospel for each Sunday of Lent 2010 and one of the Millennium Development Goals each week of Lent.

The result: cards - printed both sides - one for each week in Lent:

Two additional cards with more suggestions are included in the envelope.

 You might want to consider offering families this free label to go around an empty soup can to hold coins the family collects.

 We can place the can on our table 
and put coins in the can -- in gratitude for our many blessings.  When the can is

 full, we can decide which agency

will receive our offering for those who need our help.
